Setelah 4,5 bulan, akhirnya bisa memiliki account Gmail.
Tau nggak sih lo? Punya Gmail itu keren. Eksklusif gitu loh!

Sebelumnya, kami (dengan mas Jaya) hanya bisa terheran-heran dengan kelakuan para pemilik dan peminat account Gmail. Sebuah imel invitasi untuk mendaftar Gmail (seperti contoh di atas) sampai diperjualbelikan. Umumnya jual-beli secara barter.

Awalnya, tidak sedikit yang mengira kalau imel berkapasitas 1GB hanyalah lucu-lucuan 1 April. Eh, ternyata benar-benar muncul sehingga "mengganggu stabilitas" layanan imel tidak berbayar lainnya.

Sudah 4 tahun, ternyata Gmail masih mempertahankan status BETA.

Sejak awal kemunculannya, memang edan.
2004: Imel 1GB? Yang bener aja! Kali pertama membuat sensasi imel berkapasitas GB, “menghancurkan” layanan imel yang lain.
2005: Melipatgandakan kapasitas menjadi 2GB. Konon ada account yang telah penuh, mentok 1GB. Mulai muncul iseng-iseng mengenai kapasitas ~+1.

2007: Muncul banyak fools joke. Namun asyik juga kalau ada yang terealisasi, seperti awal kemunculannya. :D
Mungkin status “BETA” akan mereka pertahankan selamanya. :))
